Your baby’s story begins with a cozy newborn session, capturing the sweetness of those early days with heartfelt and timeless photographs. Whether you prefer the comfort of your home, or the serenity of a studio, your newborn session is tailored to capture the essence of these precious early days.
You’ll also have the option to create custom baby announcements, which can be designed and ordered straight from your newborn gallery.

We’ll start by securing your spot in The First Year Anthology and planning your journey. Together, we’ll decide if you’d like to add any additional sessions- such as maternity or holiday family- to your collection. Then we'll get started on planning your first session!

As your baby grows, we’ll document their most cherished milestones in the studio:
Six-Month Sitter Session: This session is all about the sweet details and your baby’s blossoming personality—those chubby cheeks, sparkling eyes, and tiny fingers that make your heart skip a beat.
One-Year Cake Smash Session: Celebrate this big milestone with a session that reflects your style and baby’s spirit. Choose to include a cake for smashing, add balloons for a festive touch, or keep it simple and timeless.

After each session, you’ll receive a curated gallery of beautifully edited images to treasure. Depending on the session, your gallery will feature 80-100+ images- every image telling the story of your baby’s first year in a way that feels timeless and heartfelt. From each gallery, you’ll select 24 of your favorite images to download and keep for digital use.
Your gallery selections will also guide the creation of your custom heirloom album or additional products, such as framed prints, keepsake boxes, or custom-designed cards. While your collection includes digital downloads and a beautifully designed heirloom album, additional prints, frames, and keepsakes are available à la carte for those who wish to expand their collection.

Your heirloom album will be the heart of your Anthology. You can choose to create a single album that spans the entire first year, beautifully capturing each milestone, or curate an album for each session—resulting in a trilogy that tells your baby’s story in the most exquisite way. While The First Year Anthology includes one heirloom album, additional albums for other sessions can be created at an additional cost. Together, we’ll design something truly timeless, with your choice of debossing, linen covers, and more.

Your finished heirloom album will be delivered with care after the entire Anthology is complete, serving as the culmination of your baby’s first-year story. Any additional products ordered directly from your gallery—such as prints, frames, or custom cards—will be shipped directly to you from my professional lab shortly after each purchase. This journey celebrates not just your baby’s milestones but the love, growth, and joy of your family during these precious, tender months.

Your home is always a beautiful option. You'll want to ensure you have light colored walls, lots of natural light, and clean bedrooms (and family room) for photos.
This is a great location for any type of session from maternity to newborn, and milestones to family sessions. There are bed options, chairs, backdrops, couches, and throws.

This studio space has solid white floors and walls with the most amazing light flowing in from two different walls of windows with sheer curtains. I love this space for cake smash sessions because all the focus is on baby, and we can fill the space with balloons, simple wooden toys, and their sweet mini cake!
This space has it all! Lots of beautiful benches, chairs, throws, pillows, extra client wardrobe, baby accessories, and the best soft light for any type of anthology session.

Images that you can physically hold in your hand will be the best way to remember those precious moments we captured.
The best ways to make your memories last and honor your investment in professional photography is to order an heirloom album. Your Heirloom Album is crafted by hand with archival materials. This classic album features thick, lay flat pages printed on semi-matte photographic paper. Choose a cover from genuine Italian leathers, European linens, Vegan Leathers and Suedes, or Japanese fabrics.

Printed on archival photographic papers and handcrafted with great attention to detail. These high-end flushmount albums features beautiful cover options and personalization.
Album upgrades (if any) must be prepaid before design begins and typically take between 4 to 6 weeks to complete (including revisions).
With the exception of printing errors, all albums are non-returnable. The holiday deadline for beginning an order is November 1st.

QUESTIONS
When will we receive our photos?
Within four weeks of your session, you’ll receive a link to your beautiful online gallery, where you can download your favorite high-resolution images (or all of them because we know it'll be impossible to pick your favs!). Instructions on how to choose and download images will all be included in your gallery email.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases, and keepsakes just as effortless—like warming a bottle with one hand while rocking your baby with the other.
How many families do you accept each year into the Anthology?
I take on only a handful of First Year Anthology clients each year to ensure every family’s story is captured with care and heart. Only 6 spots are available for 2025, allowing for a truly personal experience from the very first session to the moment you hold your heirloom album in your hands. This keeps the process intimate, thoughtful, and filled with the love and attention your baby’s first year deserves.
How many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?
Each session in The First Year Anthology results in a beautifully curated gallery of 60–120 images, varying by session type. Your newborn session includes 36 images to download, and your other two milestone sessions include 24 images to download from each gallery. You can always purchase your full gallery or additional individual images a la carte. Your online gallery will include fully edited, high-resolution photos, ready to download, share, and print. For the best quality, I recommend ordering directly through your gallery, ensuring perfect color and tone. And if you share on social media, I’d love for you to tag @christinedeatoncreative—it’s a joy to see your family’s story celebrated!

Fantastic! To reserve your spot in The First Year Anthology, I'll need a completed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance will be due 1 week before each milestone session.
