In my last post I shared how you receive my Photo Session Style Guide when you book a photo session with me! My style guide helps you plan your photo session outfits stress-free. It’s packed with detail about how to pick outfits for everyone in your family. Often it’s the wife, mom, girlfriend, or fiancé that is booking the session. And, it’s usually best to start with her outfit because finding that perfect look for her can be the launching point for the whole sessions vibe.
Once we have her dress, it’s time to add on the layers with outfits for other family members. Next up, we are styling the guy. When it comes to choosing his outfit for the photo session, we want it to be comfortable, layered, and complimentary to his style- and the aforementioned dress she already fell in love with. You can find anything from three piece suits to high fashion jeans and t-shirts. H&M is also a great place to find those accesorie pieces for him- belts, suspenders, hats, jackets, and even trendy loafers!

For the times you want a more classic vibe, there is The Gap. You can always count on timeless All-American styled looks for him at The Gap. I never plan a photo session for my own family without first checking out what’s new there. Check out some of my favorites for this fall.
