When you invite me to capture your maternity, newborn, and family experiences, I know you’re sharing your heart with me. Through my photos, I share my heart with you, too.
When you have a family with 2 little girls who love to twirl, dance, and giggle- you are sure to capture playful family portraits! Documenting playful family connections in the Arizona desert is a dream. I met the Stebbins family through a loving client referral. They are new to Arizona, having recently moved from California. Now, excited to be settled in their new Scottsdale home, they were ready for updated family photos in the desert.
When we arrived on location they held hands and chatted as we walked through the desert trails. As we walked on location I witnessed the tender way mom and dad held the girls’ hands along the trail. As a result, I stopped in my tracks to snap candid lifestyle photos. Then, I noticed that the sun was in the most perfect spot as it was setting against our mountain backdrop. As a result, I decided we’d arrived at the ideal location and I set up a cozy picnic blanket for them to snuggle on together. Watching and photographing all the tender ways they embraced was a privilege.
Before we wrapped up our session we headed down the mountain to a field of cacti. Then, I asked the girls if they’d like to dance with bubbles. In short, the squeals of delight that followed confirmed that they would be thrilled if mom and dad made them a bubble part. Meanwhile, I captured all of their childhood joy in portraits! Their twirling dresses, toothy smiles, and bouncing golden curls were the perfect way to end our time together.
Thank you for sharing your joy with me Stebbins family! It was an honor to get to photograph your beautiful family in the Scottsdale, Arizona desert this year. Moreover, I can’t wait for our next session!
