Dessert pictures like these are beautiful but I’m curious, how much rough hiking in nice clothes is involved to get to places like this? I like the natural look (not on a flat trail) but am considering everyone’s shoes.

    • Hi Marlee! Thanks for your comment. It’s true, you do need to take into account walking to your locations in the desert and your clients’ footwear. This particular session required sidewalk walking before popping into our desert setting. The clients had to walk less than 20 feet off the sidewalk. Additionally, regardless of my location, I tell clients in their prep emails to wear comfy shoes for walking to our photo spots. Then, they can switch into nice heels for their photos. I hope that’s helpful!

Love these pics ! Is this sunrise or sunset? And which is better in the fall?

Hi Ryan! Thanks for your question. This was at sunset in the Spring. I love both sunrise and sunset sessions. An advantage to a sunrise session is being able to capture more mountains in your background (where I live). In the fall, either session would be great. It just depends on if your clients are morning people, because a sunrise session can be pretty early.
